East Coast Celtic Kitchen Party!

Great Big C++ is a a high-energy ensemble of IT professionals who believe that the best way to debug life is with a bodhrán, a banjo, a whistle and a room full of people singing at the top of their lungs. Their sound is pure kitchen party: joyful, rowdy, and irresistibly danceable.  With them, fiddles meet foot stomps, and every chorus is a call to raise your glass, clap, dance, sing along to familiar east coast Canadian favorites, and join the fun.

Great Big C++ is here to compile joy, debug stress, and execute a party you won’t forget!

Canada Life’s Great Big C++ is…

Annastasia Lambert’s voice is the heart of the kitchen party — she leads the chorus like a kettle on the boil – warm, lively, and guaranteed to get the whole room raising a glass and singing along.

Glenn Antonio brings the ganjo to life with the energy of a St. John’s street party. His fingers fly like gulls in a gale, and his rhythms could get a moose tapping its hoof.

Keith Lalman holds the harmonic helm with guitar lines that roll in like fog and break like sunshine – while always keeping it smoother than a fresh jar of maple syrup.

Andy Hallonquist plays the whistle like he’s calling in the tide and chasing it back out again. His melodies dance like a jig on a wharf, and if you hear a tune that makes your feet move before your brain catches up, Andy’s probably behind it.

Chad Muir anchors the groove with basslines deeper than a Cape Breton snowbank. He’s the backbone of the band — solid, groovy, and politely rowdy – and always ready to drop the beat with a grin and a “sorry” if he knocks over your pint.

Karen Warner fiddles with the fire of a thousand Ceilidhs.  Her bow blazes through the jigs and reels and when she plays, it’s like the East Coast wind itself decided to join the party – fiery, fast, and full of sass.

Chris Durston plays keys like he’s keeping the party going with equal parts musical finesse and Maritime mischief. With deep, rich harmonies smoother than a double-double, he adds the musical glue that keeps the kitchen party cooking.

Joel Hamm drives the rhythm with the precision of a snowplow and the soul of a Saturday night in Halifax.  His drumming is the heartbeat of the band – loud, proud, and built for dancing, with just enough chaos to keep things interesting.
