Port 54-40 is…

Wayne Prasek
Wayne has been making noise on stage since high school, first cutting his teeth on the drums in cover bands before taking things up a notch in 2001 with The Night Riders in the U.S. Over the years, he’s played everything from hard-hitting original Rock/Metal with bands like Face Your Destroyer and InContext to more recent adventures on lead guitar with Sout East Manitoba’s own Good n’ Dusty. Whether behind the kit or out front with a guitar, Wayne brings decades of live experience, a love of Canadian rock, and the kind of energy that makes a stage feel like home.

Chad Muir
Chad has been involved in music since high school and has been involved in many projects including the bands representing Great-West Life in previous Techapalooza events.  Currently he is a member of the Flying Haggis Showband and Crimson Skye.

Estuardo Figueroa
Estuardo, from Guatemala, has been an integral part of the Winnipeg music scene since 2007, serving as the primary pianist/keyboardist for several bands, including Buena Clave, Tropical 99, El Leon & the Strangers, Los Clasheros, Cafe Latino, El Boludo del Rock, and Son D Arranke. In addition to his performance work, he has produced Latin reggaeton albums for Yoslai De La Rosa as well as with hip-hop artist Tai Lawanson. Music has always played a vital role in his life, and he remains actively engaged in the local music community, eagerly anticipating his participation in Techapalooza in 2026!

Shayne Frolich
Shayne doesn’t just love music—he lives it. From scribbling lyrics in junior high notebooks to tearing up stages in singing competitions, music’s been in his blood since day one. It wasn’t long before the mic led to the drums, and his sound got louder, tighter, and harder to ignore.

He’s played it all—pop, country, rock, inspirational—you name it. Genre never boxed him in, and it never will.

While he took a hiatus from vocals and songwriting to raise a family, he’s back and ready to rock harder than ever. With a renewed fire and years of life behind the lyrics, Shayne brings a raw, seasoned edge to every performance. Whether he’s smashing out rhythms behind the kit or commanding the mic up front, he hits the stage like he never left—because in his soul, he never really did. For him, the stage isn’t just a place to play—it’s where everything makes sense.

Stephen Bryden
For the better part of his life, Stephen Bryden has engaged in music as a creative form of expression. Early on Stephen explored several instruments. During his university days he settled on the drums. He has played in few bands over the years and has stage experience playing several venues throughout Winnipeg including: The Pyramid, The Albert, The Zoo, various coffee shops and even the West End Cultural Center too. For a period of time when mobile tech started to become more powerful, he learned to produced and record his own multi track music for fun leveraging an iPad as a digital audio workstation. Today Stephen is starting to expand his percussive experience with meditative sounds including, gongs, chimes and singing bowls too. Stephen is excited for the chance to play drums for a worthy cause such as Techapalooza!

Reginald Mangubat
Regie Mangubat was the bassist for the Filipino rock band Stonefree from 1995 to 2010. The band rose to prominence with hits like Listen and Anghel, which resonated across radio stations and local music channels in the Philippines. In 2014, Regie stepped away from the spotlight after migrating to Canada, marking the end of his professional music career. Despite retiring, his passion for music never faded. He continued to play casually with his children, hoping to pass on his love for the craft. Now, after more than a decade, Techapalooza marks Regie’s long-awaited return to the stage — his first live performance since retiring.
