The “B” Side Champs
Inspired by classic R&B of the 60’s, the great music coming out of Stax Studios like Otis Redding, Sam and Dave, Wilson Pickett, Booker T and the MG’s. The “B” Side Champs honour the past with energy and authenticity.
When another band was unable to play at Techapalooza 2018, The “B” Side Champs stepped in at the last minute to help fill out the evening’s band lineup. A number of the band members work in the local IT sector and were also members of other bands, pulling double-duty this year. (B Side Champs were omitted from judging & voting.)
