What is Techapalooza?
Started in 2012, Techapalooza is an annual live concert event featuring the best musical talent in the Winnipeg IT community. Musicians with “day jobs” in the IT sector form bands to perform for an enthusiastic crowd in hopes that they will be voted “Fan Favourite.” Event proceeds go directly to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

The Work of CancerCare Manitoba
If you’ve been touched by cancer or know someone who has, you’ll know how important the work of CancerCare Manitoba is. In addition to their ongoing research and treatment work, they provide an array of Patient & Family Resources, which include a lending library and trustworthy online resources.

You may be aware of pink ribbons in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, but there are at least 43 such coloured ribbons representing various types of cancer.
Cancer is like a Hydra.
Different forms of cancer are so prevalent that most of us will be touched by it at some point in our lives.
Every month except December has some form of cancer awareness associated with it.
Banding Together to Beat Cancer
We’ve been “Banding Together to Beat Cancer” since 2012, and we’re inviting you to Band Together with us in support of CCMF.
For its work helping to fund CCMF, Techapalooza was recognized in 2022 as outstanding philanthropic group of the year by the Manitoba Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
How You Can Band Together With Us
The most fun way to help is probably to simply attend Techapalooza on February 28, 2026 at the Club Regent Events Center! Tickets can be purchased online or directly from band members.
The easiest way to help is simply to donate! Each band sets their own fundraising goal, and you’ll be able to make your “fan club” donation in support of their goal.
