What is Techapalooza?
This concert event brings together 5 to 7 bands comprised of talented musicians who work in the I.T. sector. Bands perform for an enthusiastic crowd that votes for their favourite band to be crowned “Fan Favourite.” …all while rockin’ the night away to raise money for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation (CCMF).
When did this all start?
When Techapalooza was first held in 2012, we had a sell-out crowd of over 300 and raised $25,000 for CCMF. Since then we have raised $907,000 for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. 13th Techapalooza will take place on March 1st 2025. This year will mark a milestone for us as we aim to surpass $1,000,000 in total donations.
What happens the night of Techapalooza?
Each band performs 1 set not more than 25 minutes long. Order of appearance is determined by the Musical Director. Audience members will vote for their favourite band of the evening using an app available on the home page of the website. The band receiving most votes will be named “Fan Favourite”.
All band members are volunteers, working hard to entertain and raise funds for CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. They receive no remuneration for their performance.
